About Me

Hi, my name is Angela and welcome to my blog. This is a place where I write about my life in an honest and open way.

I am 36 years old, single, and a Christian. God gave me a heart to work with children and so I spend my day teaching kindergarten. It is my fourth year teaching and although it is hard I love it. I currently go to a college for my BA in Elementary Education which keeps me busy. Between work and school there is not much time left but I enjoy serving and helping others, watching netflix, or reading a good book.

Christmas Gifts #1

The following are the crafts for my sister, niece, and brother-in-law.

I start with a quote.

I decoupage/mod podge the background. Then find sticker letters to put down.

I painted the canvas purple and peeled off the letters. It needed something more so I added the below swirls and used white to highlight them.

This is what it looks like. It was still missing something. I added the three flowers to it and it was perfect (They are on the top picture.)

The following is my niece's painting. I used scrapbook paper and cut it in various sizes of circles. Using Mod Podge I placed the circles on the canvas.

I had initially wanted to cover it like my sisters but the background was so pretty I placed the stickers on top. The stickers are glittery. The black letters did not show up on the pink and black so I added in some silver letters on those spots. The quote is from a song by Jamie Grace.

The following is what I made for my brother-in-law.

This to I saw on Pinterest and was inspired.

I started with small glass ornament.

I add a little water to thin out the acrylic paint. I then pour in paint and swirl the paint around to cover the sides.
For the gray ornament I had to mix white and black paint.
I then place the ornaments upside down to drain out the spare paint.

I printed out logo's from a google image search.

With an exacto knife I cut out each logo.
I attempted to do a Spider-man logo but the legs were too thin and I cut off the legs.

I used a a mini sticker maker I got for $10 at Walmart to make the logo's stickers.

Here they are ready to ship.
